"POUR…QUOI S’EMBALLER ? L’emballage est important pour la logistique des produits"
Thimon works regularly with the Conseil National de l’Emballage (CNE), which aims to develop and disseminate good practice in the design, marketing and use of product packaging.
The players in this ecosystem work together on a daily basis to reduce the overall environmental impact and define packaging that contributes to sustainable logistics.
Yohann GAIDON participated, with various actors of the Conseil National de l'Emballage, in the drafting of the document "POUR…QUOI S’EMBALLER ? L’emballage est important pour la logistique des produits" the objectives of which are:
- To show the importance of the functions of a packaging unknown to the general public: the packaging ensuring the logistics of the product and to show that a whole ecosystem exists.
- Demonstrate that transport packaging must respond to strong supply chain constraints, both to protect and transport the finished product and to optimise the economic cost of so-called "end-of-line" operations.
- Describe distribution and consumption patterns and show the importance of packaging in the efficiency of these processes.
- Show the universality of this type of packaging insofar as standardisation is pushed to its maximum in terms of dimensions, traceability and reusability.
- Finally, to remind that without this packaging, the supply chain stops.
